You can search for cases by entering the case number, defendant name, social security number, defendant spn, or driver's license number in the search bars. For best results, use at least two search criteria to narrow down your results.
Why can't I find my case?
Cases may not appear if:
The case is sealed or confidential
It's too recent (allow 24-48 hours for processing)
You're searching with incorrect information
The case is from a different jurisdiction
Visit the clerk's office for assistance with hard-to-find cases.
What information is available about each case?
For each case, you can typically view:
Case number and filing date
Charges and disposition
Court dates and times
Assigned judge and courtroom
Financial balances (if applicable)
Sensitive information has been restricted.
How often is case information updated?
Case information is typically updated:
Court appearances: Within 24 hours
Filings: Within 48 hours
Financial transactions: Within 72 hours

How do I pay fines or fees online?
To pay online:
Locate your case using the search function
Click your case
Select "Pay Now"
4. Follow the prompts to complete payment
Note: Payments over $5,000 cannot be paid online.
Why doesn't my payment show up yet?
Payments may take 3-5 business days to process and appear in the system. If your payment doesn't appear after 5 days, contact the court clerk with your:
Case number
Date and amount of payment

Am I eligible to get my cost reduced?
Please contact the payment center at (423) 209-6875 to see if you are eligible for a payment reduction.
Will my unpaid fines get sent to collections?
If payments are not made within one year of the case’s dispistion date your account will be sent to collections.
You have 30 days to make your first payment on a case before it is considered past due.
If I am sent to collections can I still pay the court directly?
Yes, if you have been sent to collections you can still make payments to Hamilton County directly but collection fees will still apply.
